The Turkish Ministry of Trade has announced a ban on exporting goods to Israel across 54 different categories "until a ceasefire is reached in the Gaza Strip."

The immediate ban covers various products including metallurgical items, construction equipment, raw materials, and machine tools.

This decision follows Ankara's vow to "take measures" after being denied participation in humanitarian aid operations to Gaza.

Notably, Turkey was a significant cement exporter to Israel, holding up to two-thirds of the market. However, its share dropped to one-third recently as Israeli importers shifted to Greek suppliers.
