On February 26, a Jordanian cargo plane dropped humanitarian aid with parachutes near the coast of the Gaza Strip. All containers fell into the water west of Khan Yunis.
Some residents of the Gaza Strip attempted to retrieve these containers using various watercraft.
Local bloggers posted videos showing parachutes descending onto the water. There are also reports of gunfire along the coast. Hamas-affiliated media claim that the gunfire came from Israeli military forces, while Israeli Telegram channels state that Hamas operatives were shooting.
There have been no reports of casualties.
