A man has committed an act of self-immolation on Herzl Street in Rehovot. The incident was reported to the Ayalon district dispatch center of Magen David Adom at 13:30.
Paramedics and MDA field medics who arrived at the scene provided the victim with urgent medical assistance, after which he was evacuated to Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot in critical condition, with burns covering his entire body.
The man's motives are under investigation.
