The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) agency, responsible for coordinating maritime trade, reported an attack on a trading vessel in the Gulf of Aden.
According to initial reports, the vessel, located 70 nautical miles from the Yemeni port city of Aden, was hit by two rockets, causing a fire onboard.
US-led coalition force are swiftly responding to the incident.
The targeted vessel was British-flagged, operating under the flag of Palau. It was en route from Thailand towards the Suez Canal.
