Iranian Mehr News Agency reported that President Ebrahim Raisi survived a hard landing of his helicopter near the city of Verzegan, close to the Iran-Azerbaijan border.
Initial reports suggested the president was "fine," and his motorcade was en route to Tabriz in northwestern Iran.
However, Mehr agency later retracted the statement regarding Raisi's condition and his destination to Tabriz.
