Belgrade recently hosted the Youth and Junior European Sambo Championships, featuring athletes under 18 and 20. A total of 523 athletes from 29 countries participated in the tournament.

Among the attendees was the renowned Russian MMA fighter Fedor “The Last Emperor” Emelianenko, who graced the competition as a guest.

The Israeli women's national team is under the coaching leadership of Alice Schlesinger.

In the competition, Yair Tzipora claimed the title of European champion in the juniors' category, competing in the weight category up to 71 kg. Meanwhile, Shaked Nisimian secured the championship title in the weight category up to 72 kg.

Vladimir Polotsky earned a silver medal in the boys' division, competing in the over 98 kg category. Additionally, in the junior championship, he clinched a bronze medal.

Bronze medals were also awarded to Idan Iglitski (juniors, weight category up to 58 kg), Vladimir Polotsky (juniors, over 98 kg), Ofek Yom Tov (juniors, women, up to 50 kg), Elizaveta Kovalev (juniors, women, up to 65 kg), Shalev Harel (juniors, up to 58 kg), and Sapir Schindler (juniors, women, up to 59 kg).
