IDF Sergeant Sivan Weil, 20, from Ra'anana, and a member of the Egoz special forces, passed away on Sunday, March 31, in a hospital due to wounds sustained in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

In a remarkable gesture, his loved ones chose to donate Sivan's organs to help save the lives of patients in need of transplantation.

Sivan's heart was transplanted into a 45-year-old man at Sheba Hospital in Tel Aviv. Meanwhile, his liver was given to a 40-year-old woman who underwent transplantation at Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva.

Furthermore, Sivan Weil's lungs were transplanted into a 37-year-old man at Sheba Hospital. One of his kidneys will offer a second chance to a 66-year-old man who underwent surgery at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem, while the second kidney was transplanted into a 48-year-old man at Beilinson Hospital.
