Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the northern part of the Gaza Strip today, December 25. He was accompanied by Deputy Chief of Staff of the IDF, Major General Amir Baram, Prime Minister's Office Director Zahi Braverman, and Military Secretary Major General Avi Gil. The visit was not announced due to security reasons.

The government leader heard reports from the commander of the 261st Brigade and the commander of the 162nd Armored Division, and also spoke with the troops.

Netanyahu declared that every effort would be made to ensure the safety of the servicemen. He also urged them to "keep going" and to persevere in the war until a victorious conclusion.
