IDF Spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari confirmed that on March 10, the IDF targeted an underground compound used by the head of Hamas's military wing, Marwan Issa.

Hagari emphasized that the strike's results are still being assessed, and there is no final confirmation yet that Issa is killed. The IDF also released video footage showing strikes on the target in Nuseirat.

According to the IDF, Aziz Abu Tama'a, former commander of the Central Camps Brigade, who is currently responsible for all of Hamas's weaponry in Gaza, was also in the compound with Issa.

Daniel Hagar emphasized that, according to all the intelligence indications, there were no Israeli hostages in the area.
