It has come to light that Colonel "Aleph," an intelligence officer at the headquarters of the Southern Military District, was compelled to resign from his position due to a romantic involvement with a subordinate.

According to Srugim, the colonel initially cited "personal reasons" for his resignation, but the true cause later emerged.

It is underscored that this is not a criminal offense: the officers engaged in a romantic relationship by mutual consent.

Nonetheless, as such behavior contradicts the moral standards of the Israel Defense Forces, the colonel was obliged to step down from his position.
