Police have detained Nadera Shalhoub-Kevorkian, a professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Palestinian-Israeli feminist and human rights activist, on suspicion of incitement.

The professor is accused of alleging that Israel committed genocide in the Gaza Strip and attempting to refute claims of sexualized violence against women by Hamas terrorists on October 7.

Shalhoub-Kevorkian was taken for questioning to the Mevaseret Zion police station. A special task force investigating cases of incitement, led by Shlomit Landes, examined the professor's statements and found the suspicions of incitement to be justified.
