National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir's car was involved in a collision with another vehicle. The car accident occurred as the minister was leaving the scene of a terror stabbing in the central city of Ramle that had taken place a few hours earlier, police say.

Witnesses said he ran a red light. Police are investigating the cause of the crash.

Itamar Ben-Gvir has been taken to the nearby Shamir Medical Center for further treatment. According to doctors, the minister is in good condition and conscious.

Police say two vehicles were involved in the collision and that three people were taken to hospital after being lightly injured.

Pictures from the scene show Ben-Gvir's car flipped over while another car is smashed in front.
