The IDF announces the death of a soldier killed during fighting in the northern Gaza Strip today.
He is listed as Sgt. Ben Avishay, 20, of the Paratroopers Brigade's signals company. He was from Nahariya.
Since the start of the ground operation in Gaza on October 27, 2023, 280 IDF soldiers have been killed during the IDF's ground offensive against Hamas in Gaza and amid operations on the border.
