On Wednesday, January 17th, Hassan Nasrallah posted on his X page (formerly known as Twitter) announcing the death of a senior Hezbollah figure, Rashid Muhammad Shaghlil, known as "Zulfiqar."

The report only mentions that he hailed from Tamnine El Faouqa in the Beqaa region.

Details surrounding his death remain unspecified. It simply states that he "became a martyr on the way to Jerusalem," implying his involvement in hostilities against Israel.

Had "Zulfiqar" been killed in an IDF attack, Hezbollah would have assigned him a "serial number" among the "martyrs" of the ongoing conflict. However, there is no such number listed alongside Shaglil's name.
