Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi stated that he estimates the cost of reconstructing the Gaza Strip after the cessation of hostilities between Israel and Hamas to exceed $90 billion.

He also emphasized that, to the extent within Egypt's control, the Rafah checkpoint will remain operational 24/7 to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to the region.

However, he made it clear that Egypt will not permit Palestinian refugees to enter its territory.

He underscored, "We will not facilitate the displacement of Palestinians from their homeland."
