Israeli footballer, Sagiv Jehezkel, previously arrested in Turkey for showing solidarity with families of Israelis kidnapped by Hamas during a match, has returned to Israel.
After scoring a goal, Jehezkel displayed the message "100 days" and the date 10/07/2023 on his wristband, leading to his detention by Turkish police.
Justice Minister, Yilmaz Tunç, criticized his behavior as "disgusting," and the football club removed him from the team.
Officially, Turkish authorities charged him with "incitement to hatred." A Turkish court ordered his release from custody and deportation.
