The IDF reported that on February 18th, Staff Sergeant Simon Shlomov, aged 20 from Kiryat Bialik and a member of the 202nd Battalion of the Tzanhanim Brigade, was killed in combat in the southern Gaza Strip.
Since the beginning of the ground operation in Gaza on October 27, a total of 236 military personnel have been killed. These casualties include incidents in Gaza, near the border with Lebanon, and in Judea and Samaria as a result of terrorist attacks on Israeli territory.
Since October 7th, a total of 574 IDF soldiers have lost their lives. This includes casualties from the Black Saturday terrorist attacks and the subsequent War of Iron Swords.
