The Gaza Ministry of Health, affiliated with Hamas, reported that on March 26, nine residents of the Gaza Strip drowned, and five more went missing at sea while attempting to retrieve containers containing humanitarian aid that had fallen into the water.

The tragedy occurred after another batch of humanitarian aid was dropped by parachute from airplanes near the coast of the Gaza Strip.

It is worth noting that today, the wave height near the coast of Gaza is 1.5-2 meters. Such waves are considered dangerous for swimmers.
