At approximately 10 p.m., sirens blared in Ashkelon and Sderot. The "Tseva Adom" alert also sounded in the villages of Ibim, Nir Am, Zikim, and Karmia.

An hour earlier, there was an attempted rocket strike on Netivot from the Gaza Strip. Four missiles were fired towards the city but were intercepted by the Iron Dome. Islamic Jihad has claimed responsibility for the attack.
