During ceasefire negotiations in Egypt, Israel has agreed to allow refugees to return to northern Gaza, reports Reuters, citing official sources in Israel.

Officials in Jerusalem state that the terror organization Hamas is unwilling to reach an agreement.

Two officials familiar with knowledge of the talks stated that under a US proposal for a truce, Israel would permit the return of 150,000 refugees to the northern part of the Gaza Strip without any security checks.

In return, Israeli representatives have demanded that Hamas provide a list of surviving female, elderly, and sick hostages.

The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declined to comment.
