Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Russian Security Council, had a phone conversation with Tzachi Hanegbi, head of the Israeli National Security Council, as reported by the press service of the Russian Security Council.
The report indicates that the conversation focused on the escalating situation in the Middle East.
"In light of the escalation in the Middle East, Patrushev stressed the importance of all parties exercising restraint to prevent further conflict escalation. It was emphasized that Russia advocates for resolving disputes solely through political and diplomatic channels," quotes TASS from the official press service statement.
The Israeli side has not provided any comment on the conversation.
