Two IDF soldiers were killed in a battle in the central part of the Gaza Strip on the night of April 29.
The names of the deceased are:
Reserve Sergeant Major Ido Aviv, 28 years old, from Karmiel. He served in the 9232nd Battalion, 679th Utsbat Iftah Brigade.
Reserve Sergeant Major Kalkidan Mehari, 37 years old, from Petah Tikva. He was a member of the 223rd Battalion, 2nd Carmeli Brigade.
In the same battle, a reservist from the 223rd Battalion, 2nd Carmeli Brigade, was seriously wounded.
Since the start of the ground operation on October 27, 2023, a total of 263 military personnel have been killed in Gaza.
Since October 7, as a result of Hamas' terrorist attacks and the subsequent wars, which occurred in Gaza, near the border with Lebanon, and in Judea and Samaria, as well as due to terrorist attacks in Israel, 608 IDF soldiers have lost their lives.
