On Tuesday evening, May 7, Canadian businessman Ziv Kipper, who also held Israeli citizenship, was shot dead in the Egyptian city of Alexandria.

Kipper had worked in Egypt for the past nine years and owned the Egyptian company O.K Group LLC, which produces frozen vegetables and fruits and has offices in Israel and Ukraine.

The murder might be a terror incident.

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that the Israeli Embassy in Cairo is in touch with local authorities to repatriate the businessman's body.

The Martyr Mohammed Salah Brigades in Egypt have released a statement claiming responsibility for Kipper's murder.
