On March 26, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh visited Tehran and met with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian. Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei also received the Hamas delegation.
Iranian sources report that the leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Ziyad al-Nakhalah, also visited Tehran alongside Haniyeh.
