Columbia University's leadership declared the start of expelling students who refused to vacate the protest camp on campus.

According to a university statement, students who agree to leave the protest camp on time will have the opportunity to finish their studies until the end of the semester. Those who do not comply will be immediately expelled, without the chance to complete the semester or their degree studies. They will lose access to campuses and dormitories.

University officials reiterated their condemnation of antisemitic slogans at the protests and emphasized that "external agents" on campus had contributed to the hostile atmosphere.

Cornell University, also a member of the Ivy League, announced similar measures to expel students who refuse to leave the protest camp on campus.

At the University of Texas, approximately 40 protesters were arrested. Police resorted to using stun grenades and pepper gas to disperse the crowd. Nine individuals were detained at the University of Florida.
