California police have initiated the dismantling of a tent camp established by pro-Palestinian protesters on the grounds of the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). Numerous individuals have reportedly been arrested.
CNN, whose film crew is present on campus, has reported that police are employing rubber bullets. Additionally, there are accounts of shock grenades being deployed against protesters. The police are conducting operations outfitted in full combat gear, including helmets and gas masks.
Before the intervention, university officials urged students to disperse peacefully. They warned that Dickson Plaza, where the fortified tent camp was situated, would be cleared due to the illegality of the gathering.
