Israel has reportedly agreed to facilitate the construction of a temporary pier in Gaza, intended for the delivery of humanitarian aid by the US military, as per Politico's sources.

According to Lara Seligman's report, Israeli authorities have consented to utilize the IDF to ensure the safety of American personnel involved in constructing the pier, as well as those engaged in unloading and distributing aid.

The IDF will also oversee the security of the pier itself, collaborating closely with the US military.

The plan outlined by Politico involves a team of US Army personnel constructing a floating pier approximately 3-5 miles offshore, alongside a 1,800-foot floating seawall anchored to the beach.

Pentagon projections indicate that the construction of the pier is expected to span up to 60 days.
