Former Israeli President Reuven Rivlin criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for allegedly imposing restrictions on the heads of the Shin Bet and Mossad during negotiations for the release of hostages.

In an interview with IDF Galley, Rivlin stated, "You appointed them, so don't constrain them. Give them full authority, and appoint them sincerely to achieve success. You appointed them because you trust them. If you trust them, let them do their job."

"These individuals are not weak negotiators; they know how to navigate negotiations. They are just as capable as you are; each of them could lead the state," Rivlin concluded.
